Satay or Satee is an original grilled dish from Asian, mainly Southeast Asian cuisine, where the meat is grilled in bite-sized pieces individually on small skewers.

This Chicken Satay recipe is a Thai original, which we’ve taken a step higher with a honey glaze and infused peanut sauce.

Skewers can also be prepared wonderfully in a skillet or on a charcoal grill, but in this case the wooden sticks should be soaked for about 2 hours beforehand so they don’t burn during grilling.

When preparing in the pan, it is recommended to wrap the sticks with some aluminum foil so that they do not lie in the fat. Remove the aluminum foil before serving.

In a hot pan with a little oil or on a well-heated grill, the meat takes only a few minutes to cook through until golden brown on all sides.
Chopped peanuts, chili slices and scallion rings, and cilantro are great for decoration.

The chili peppers and herbs are also finely chopped, the spring onion into fine rings and mixed together with the cucumber slices and sugar.
The liquid ingredients are mixed evenly, added to the salad and mixed thoroughly.
